Description:
The object of the procurement is anesthesia services for dental treatment performed under anesthesia for the oral health care of the city of Helsinki.
The basis for the procurement of the anesthesia service is the amendment of Section 45 of the Health Care Act (1326/2010) from 1 October 2025 (L1081/2024) and the government decree under consideration (the decree on certain surgeries and medical procedures 888/2025) change related to the transfer of responsibility for organizing dental treatment under anesthesia from specialized medical care to basic health care.
As a result of the change in legislation and the related regulation, the City of Helsinki's social, the oral health care of the health and rescue sector prepares to take care of and provide dental treatment under general anesthesia for patients included in primary health care, if necessary. The acquisition is conditional, because the processing of the change in the financing of the organization is in progress. Procurement and its scope is implemented within the framework of funding.
The anesthesia service to be procured includes preparation, patient anesthesia, follow-up, forecasting and post-anesthesia contacts.
Anesthesia dentistry takes place in the dental clinic and/or dental clinics of the city of Helsinki and the actual dental the treatment is carried out by oral health care professionals employed by the City of Helsinki's oral health care. Necessary anesthesia services are procured from an external Service Provider.
