• Description:
• The ACWA LIFE project implements catchment-based water protection and water management to improve the state of the waters. The purpose of this procurement is to have a catchment area coordinator to support the operation, who works in the areas of catchment area orientation, water protection and as a promoter of organic water management and a link between landowners and authorities in the area. The coordinator works in the demo area of ​​the Laihianjoki and Sulvanjoki catchment area, responsible for extensive coordination, planning and implementation of measures, communication and development and finding financing solutions. The procurement is planned for two years starting from October 2026 and ending at the end of September 2028. In addition, the customer reserves the right to a maximum of one (1) year option period from October 2028 until the end of September 2029. The option can also be used for a shorter period at the customer's discretion. The coordinator works as an active and visible actor in the middle ground between locals and authorities in the Laihianjoki-Sulvanjoki catchment area. Essential the task of the coordinator is to go to the target area to actively interact with the actors in the area and thus to promote catchment-based water protection in the area. It is important to keep the coordinator activity on display regularly so that the coordinator can be turned to. Catchment area coordinator activities have been piloted in Finland e.g. Kyyvedi and Saarijärvi.
