Description:
The Etelae-Savo welfare area requests an offer for a navigational TMS device. The therapy device is used in the treatment of psychiatric patients (especially depressive patients, obsessive-compulsive disorder patients) and pain patients (especially neuropathic pain). The treatment is given with a slow or fast frequencyisa in series of pulses to a selected area of the cerebral cortex (e.g. the frontal part of the frontal lobe in the treatment of depression, the motor cortex in the treatment of pain) with an intensity that is proportional to the individual movement threshold of the subject. At the first treatment visit, a scan of the motor cortex is performed to determine the movement thresholdfeeding and the threshold is determined, and the cortical area to which the treatment is targeted is selected. The first treatment visit is carried out by a multiprofessional working group (nurse, physicist, doctor). The following times are actual treatment times, and they are carried out by the nurse. There are several nurses in the treatment team, so different treatmentsdifferent caregivers are present at the visits. Patients attend treatments daily for 1-6 weeks. An hour is reserved for treatments. At the same time, there are several psychiatric patients and possibly some pain patients in treatment sessions. The TMS equipment should support as lean and automated as possibleworkflow. A more detailed description of the required equipment is provided in the tender request attachments.
