- The object of the acquisition is equipment related to network storage solutions (NAS) and their installation and support services. The procurement unit is the University of Helsinki, and in addition to the procurement unit, the University of Eastern Finland, the University of Oulu, Oulu participate in the procurement University of Applied Sciences, University of Tampere and University of Turku. Based on the results of the tender, each procurement unit acquires an entity suitable for its own needs, which includes one (or more) online storage systems and the software that belongs to it and services. Each procurement unit already has one or more online storage systems in use, which are used to provide services for the research, teaching and administration needs of the higher education communities represented by the procurement units. The storage systems are typically owned by each procurement unit and are located in their own data centers. Storage systems have typically had a life cycle of about five years, but the life cycle of the data in the online storage service itself can be very tall. The procurement is divided into four different areas, and the comparison basis for the tender is the most economically advantageous price. The price has been used as the only comparison basis for overall economic affordability, because quality has been taken into account in comprehensive minimum requirements.
