• Description:
• Substance abuse education classes for elementary school-aged children and parents' evenings for their guardians. As a whole, substance abuse education for primary school-aged children is supported on the children's terms, without forgetting the culturally sensitive perspective. Discussions take place at parents' evenings about intoxicants and how social situations related to the use of alcohol and nicotine products appear to children, and tools are offered to have a conversation between children and parents at home. For middle schoolers, we want to offer up-to-date and factual information information about intoxicants and to have a discussion about the phenomena and attitudes related to intoxicants, strengthen the capacities to make considered choices related to the use of intoxicants, and strengthen the health information and preventive work on intoxicants goals of the curriculum. The whole is connected to the familiarization of the staff and guardians with the things that the students go through in class, and thus the effectiveness of the whole is strengthened and tools are offered to influence young people's use of substances. Schools are supported with substance abuse education classes and the preventive task of youth work, the capacity of young people to make safe choices related to substances is strengthened, and awareness of risks and responsibility is increased. With the help of the purchase, the well-being of children and young people is promoted and prevented the use of intoxicants and the harm caused by them, and social costs are reduced in the long term. The services must take cultural sensitivity into account and they must also be available in Swedish.
