• At the end of 2021, Tuusula Vesi made a decision to purchase a new invoicing and customer information system supplied by Vesitieto Oy (board of directors' decision §20 22.9.2021). The software service is a browser-based cloud service that digitizes the water supply facility customer management and invoicing processes, enhancing operational routines. The software service includes the following sections:- Basic service- Additional services per subscriber later ordered in writing after commissioning- Commissioning- Support service Law of water and According to Section 13 of 1398/2016 on the procurement and right-of-use agreements of entities operating in the field of energy supply, transport and postal services, the threshold value for goods and service procurement was EUR 428,000 in 2021 (VAT 0%). The total value of the purchase calculated at the time of implementation, 48 months has been approximately 410,000 euros. In 2024, an additional service package was purchased for Vestieton's Vesitili customer portal, for which a notice of direct purchase was published with Hilma number 2024-012008. As a basis the procurement was subject to the domestic water regulations of the EU Drinking Water Directive. Now the basis for the additional purchase is Tuusula's additional water needs for additional usage rights for remotely readable water meter installations and the reading and consumption data of the remotely readable water meters of the water account for viewing and the introduction of the NB-Iot data transfer model. In addition, the EU regulations of the NIS2 directive and the Data Act bring requirements, e.g. for increasing information security and data accessibility.
