- This is a preliminary notice, which is not a procurement notice or a request for tenders, and this notice does not therefore start a tender. The purpose of the advance notice is to give the market advance information about the future acquisition. Centralized funeral facilities is a new construction project planned to be implemented as a total contract on Malmi Kalmistotie. New constructionus will be built for the use of the Social, Health and Rescue Department and owned by the City of Helsinki. The land is leased from the Helsinki Parish Association in connection with the Malmi cemetery.
The centralized mortuary facilities will in the future comprise the largest mortuary storage facility in Helsinki. The deceased are transported to these kto designated cold storage facilities from within Helsinki from hospitals, nursing homes and homes, as well as from abroad or other parts of Finland. In centralized mortuary facilities, the deceased await burial or cremation. The building will also include facilities where relatives can say goodbye to the deceased. Uthe total area of the udis building is approx. 1200 brm2 and it consists of a single-storey kneeling building mass and a higher part containing the mortuary tower.
