- The city of Kajaani with its businesses and companies is requesting a quote from you for inspections and maintenance of hoists and other lifting equipment required by law for the procurement period 2026-2028 and for one (1) for the option year. The periodic inspection must determine whether the use of the crane has caused significant changes in terms of safety. The periodic inspection includes the inspection of the parts of the crane that are important for safety material fatigue, wear, corrosion or other damage caused by use. The manufacturer's or importer's instructions must be followed during commissioning and periodic inspections. If there are none, they will be drawn up by an expert. FOR LIFTS INSPECTIONS TO BE PERFORMED A commissioning inspection must be carried out for a personal and car lift before the first use and then a periodic inspection at least once a year. PERFORMER OF THE INSPECTION The person performing the inspection must be the crane or lifter a person sufficiently familiar with the structure, use and inspection. Commissioning and periodical inspections must be performed under the management and supervision of a trained person, unless the inspector has qualified training. If the crane has the main user, if possible, an opportunity should be reserved for him to participate in the inspection.
