• Antifoam chemicals needed for HSY's water supply wastewater treatment 1 August 2026-31 July 2028. In the digester, an antifoam chemical is used during a malfunction of the digester, such as effervescence. The aim of the antifoam chemical is to chemically reduce or to prevent foaming. Controlling the foam is important during a malfunction, as the froth that foams over can block the gas line. In spinning, an antifoam chemical is used to prevent foaming of the reject water, as it can cause the reject water normally exits through the reject water pipelines. In addition, foaming can cause the sling's torque to fall below the permitted limits, in which case the automatic shuts off the sling, thus preventing the sling's use. The subscriber has no obligation to order antifoam chemical based on the framework arrangement. The framework arrangement does not constitute an exclusive right for the suppliers, but the customer can use a separate procurement procedure to acquire the chemicals covered by the contract. It is possible to extend the contract period with two for one for the option period of one year (1 year + 1 year). The subscriber decides on the use of the option period no later than four (4) months before the start of each contract period. The option period refers to the possibility of extending the contract under the original conditions.
