• Description:
• The City of Turku's Procurement Services is requesting offers for archaeological surveys for the period 1 June 2026 (target) - 31 January 2029, after which the contract can be extended by the Customer's decision on the original terms with 2+2 year options for the period 1 February 2029 to 31 January 2031 and 1.2.2031-31.1.2033. The city of Turku has extended the previous contract period from 1 February to 31 May 2026, which, however, will end no later than when the new contract enters into force. Note that the archaeological excavations of the Turku city hall that started in 2025 will be completed within the framework of the previous agreement. The object of the acquisition is archaeological fieldwork and the work of their preparation and post-work phases. The service is purchased as needed during the contract period. In addition to the city of Turku, Turku is involved in the procurement the city limited company Turun Vesihuolto Oy. Procurement is divided into four areas: 1. Archaeological investigations in the urban excavation area 2. Archaeological investigations outside the urban excavation area 3. Underwater archaeological research 4. Archaeological inventories One actual supplier and one deputy supplier are selected for each sub-area. In principle, the subscriber acquires services from the actual supplier first. In principle, the customer uses a substitute supplier in situations where the actual supplier is unable to produce the service, for example due to delivery capacity, lack of resources or similar situations.
