• With this procurement notice, Itärata Oy launches a tender for the procurement of one or more BASIC SURVEY CONSULTANTS for the project "Base studies for the general plan phase of Itärata." The procurement is divided into six parts: Part area 1 track kilometers 0+000 - 27+000 Sub-area 2 track kilometers 27+000 - 49+000 Sub-area 3 track kilometers 26+000 - 42+000 Sub-area 4 track kilometers 47+252 - 72+200 Sub-area 5 track kilometers 72+200 - 89+910 Sub-area 6 track kilometers 89+910 - 110+754. The areas are presented in more detail in the request for tender in the attachments. Itärata Oy's task is to plan a rail connection enabling high-speed train traffic from Lentorada via Porvoo to the construction phase in Kouvolaa. The main goals of the project are to enable faster long-distance train traffic to the east To Finland: along the Savo and Karelia lines to Kuopio, Joensuu and Kainuus, and connecting the city of Porvoo to the rail transport network of the capital region.
