- The contract will build two new bridges, the Rastinpuro bridge (steel pipe) and the Varisjoki bridge (a reinforced concrete prefabricated tile bridge, Ble II). The sites are located about 12 km from the Suomussalmi municipal center near the Aittokoski power plant. The bridge of the Arstinpuro crosses the north sideThe bridge of the Rastipuro and the Varisjoki River in the River River crosses the Varisjoki River from the north of the River Emajoki. The bridge has no longitudinal slope. A new road surface(Road equalization) At the bridge, the bridge will be raised about 200-240 mm higher. The bridge has no longitudinal slope.The new road surface (road leveling) will be raised about 600-870 mm above the bridge. The Varisjoki riverbed must remain untouched throughout the construction projectfor.
