• YOU CAN STILL MAKE AN INFLUENCE DURING THE MARKET SURVEYING PHASE! We want the city of Turku to make quality purchases and cooperate with companies. The goal is to inform about future tenders and their requirements. At the same time, we want to map the acquisition target market and get comprehensive information about availability, implementation possibilities and potential contractors. This is an invitation to a market dialogue regarding the City of Turku's Green Deal criteria for emission-free construction sites. City of Turku signed the Green Deal commitment for zero-emission construction sites - sustainable procurement in 2020. The goal is to gradually move to contract procurement, where emissions from machinery, electricity, heating and transport will be significantly reduced by 2030 and the share of electricity, biogas and hydrogen as the driving force of work machines increases. The Green Deal requirements for zero-emission construction sites will be tightened from autumn 2026. The goal is to stagger the future measures so that also the contractors capabilities and wishes are taken into account. On the basis of the market dialogue held in the fall of 2025 and the subsequent survey of contractors, we have updated the new Green Deal requirements regarding the promotion of the use of electronic work machines for both infrastructure and in facility construction and maintenance. In the market dialogue, guidelines will be presented, which include minimum and quality criteria related to the use of electric machines and the promotion of fossil-free motive power...
