• This is not a procurement announcement but an invitation to market dialogue. The object of the planned acquisition is a radiation therapy linear accelerator with peripheral devices (radiation therapy device). The location of the equipment is the radiotherapy unit of the South Karelia Central Hospital. South Karelia the radiotherapy unit belongs to the cancer treatment unit of the South Karja welfare area. The radiotherapy unit has two linear accelerators (Varian Truebeam 2011, Varian Truebeam 2021). Radiology's Siemens PET-TT equipment is used as a dose planning imaging device. The radiotherapy dose planning software is Eclipse (Varian) and the information system is ARIA (Varian). The unit provides versatile radiotherapy to cancer patients both in its own district and also in other nearby hospital districts. The equipment purchased now will be replaced in the year 2011 acquired Varian Truebeam accelerator. The device's delivery address is South Karelia Central Hospital, Valto Käkelä katu 1, 53130 Lappeenranta. The publication date of the procurement notice will be specified as the preparation progresses and it will be published conditionally. The procurement decision will only be brought to a decision after the ministry has approved the borrowing authority and the investment plan, and the regional council has confirmed the 2026 budget. If the purchase of the linear accelerator is not approved in 2026 in the budget or the Ministry of Finance does not confirm the conditionally granted borrowing currency for the year 2026 (approval of the economic balancing program) for the welfare area, the procurement process will be suspended.
