- MARKET DIALOGUE
The subject of the market dialogue is the procurement of monitoring and environmental expert services related to the 2019 2029 nature and environmental impact monitoring program of the fixed link in Hailuoto.
DESCRIPTION OF THE CURRENT SITUATION AND BACKGROUND
Hailuoto is the largest island in the Paeraemere. HailIn 2024-2026, a fixed road connection between Riutunkari in Oulu and Huiku in Hailuoto will be built to replace the current ferry connection. The fixed connection will replace the current ferry connection. The length of the fixed connection is approximately 8.4 km, which includes the causeway section and the long bridges of Huiku and Riutut.
The Hailuoto fixed connection alliance project has received a water permit in January 2024. The nature impact monitoring plan related to the water permit has been drawn up by the customer, and the next step is to tender for expert environmental monitoring services for the construction period 2024 2026 and as an option fore 2027 2029. Monitoring includes e.g. fisheries monitoring, benthic monitoring, monitoring of beach erosion and the structural characteristics of plant communities, monitoring of breeding birds and species-specific monitoring of sea urchins, ternsfor the underdog.
