PRELIMINARY DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCUREMENT The object of the preliminary procurement is a pilot-scale slurry spreader, and the procurement includes the design and implementation of a new device. applied on a pilot scale. The device adapts to real farm-scale machinery in terms of sludge placement/spreading, but the accuracy is measured according to the requirements of the experimental operation for smaller fields. Evenness and repeatability of application for a given the surface must be flat. The most typical application areas are 1.5x10.0 meters (15m2) and the application quantities are 20-40 t/ha (2-4 kg/m2). The dry matter content of the applied cattle slurry varies between about 2-10%. The device has its own tank for slurry, which the volume is sized for multiple repetitions (e.g. 10 frames).
