Description:
We are looking for a contractor for the conservation project of larger museum objects - 11 horse carts/wagons. The trolleys are multi-material - there is a wooden surface, metal, some leather and textile. The objects are cleaned of surface dirt mainly by dry cleaning methods. Two wagons have peeling paint. Loose paint is fixed by protecting the surface with Japanese paper or a similar method. Any damage that appears to be new and progresses quickly is recorded. The work includes assisting the museum staff photographing the wagons, a total of about 7 hours of work time. The museum will organize the work tools and supplies. The place of work is KAMU's collection facility in Espoo, Koskelo area. Work completion date by 1 October 2026.
