- The purchase concerns a new computed tomography device to be purchased for Joensuu Central Hospital. The device will be located in the radiology unit in a new space. The new facility will be commissioned in the summer of 2026. About 15 radiologists, 50 x-ray nurses and 2 physicists work at Osaosto. In addition, the department has its own, an imaging cardiologist specializing in heart imaging. In 2024, approximately 10,500 examinations were performed with the emergency room device and approximately 7,300 examinations with the device in the department. The department uses Siemens' syngo-via server-based solution with the following software: •Vascular analysis •dual energy •heart •cardiac perfusion •3D: including MIP, MPR, VRT •neuroperfusion •colonography In addition, clinicians use the syngo-via universal viewer for images for viewing.
