• Metsähallitus, Eräpalvelut will build an approximately 71 kilometer long forest deer fence in the provinces of Pohjois-Ostrobothnia and Kainuu in accordance with this request for tenders and the attached material. The fence will be located between the city of Oulu and Utajärvi and Puolanga to the area of ​​the municipalities. The fence is called the Pohjois-Ostrobothnia forest deer fence. The purpose of the fence is to protect the forest deer's inheritance by preventing the crossing of forest deer and reindeer. For the construction of the fence, a 5 m wide fence opening has been made in the terrain overall contract and the general contract terms of the construction contract YSE 1998 (RT 16-10660) are followed in the contract. The selected contractor acts as the main contractor and the main implementer as defined by the legislation. The contractor is subject to the obligations referred to in § 1 - § 4 of YSE if nothing else is mentioned in the request for tenders or in the material attached to it. The general responsibility for work safety rests with the general contractor and the general contractor is responsible for appointing the safety coordinator (and its costs). The work can start on May 15, 2026 or when the procurement decision is legally binding and the procurement contract has been signed. The contract must be completed by 30 November 2027. 56 km of the work must be completed by 30 November 2026. Adherence to the schedule is necessary because the budget for the project has been tied up in advance at the indicated times, fence posts, wire and netting have been procured by the Customer and delivered to ten (10) storage locations in the vicinity of the route to be built for the forest road network.
