Description:
The purpose of the acquisition is to build a bottom dam on Pieksamaki Tuomiojarvi. The bottom dam is intended to promote the preservation of valuable bird water. The bottom dam will be built in accordance with the permission issued by the Regional Government Office and the plans prepared by Ramboll Oy. Plans and water licenses have been submitted for a call for tendersin appendices (Appendices 3-9). The base dam will be built as part of the Helmi organ program. The procurement includes the demolition of the current regulatory dam and the construction of a new base dam in Tuomiojarvi. The project is intended to dismantle the current regulatory dam of Tuomiojarvi and to build the upper reaches of the dam to be demolishedside of the bottom dam. The starting point for the project is that the current water levels of Lake Tuomiojarvi will not be significantly changed. The planned base dam aims to establish the fluctuations in the water level of Lake Tuomiojarvi and to increase the underwear height mainly. Intended to increase the under -height as possiblemuch so that the current average water level is not significantly increased and the flood height does not increase. The changes are intended to slow down the overgrowth of Lake Tuomiojarvi and to improve the habitat of water and beach birds and the condition of the water. Lake Tuomiojarvi is a bird -like lake and it belongs to Natura2000 network and a national bird protection program. Lake Tuomiojarvi is one of the most valuable bird water destinations in South Savo.
