BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE PROCUREMENT Pääkaupunkiseudun Junakalusto Oy (hereinafter also "Junakalustoyhtiö") tenders consulting services related to the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of depot projects in the capital region. By competition an expert partner is being sought to support the Rolling Stock Company in the planning and implementation of EIA procedures for depot projects in different track directions so that the environmental effects of the depots can be assessed comprehensively and in a timely manner in relation to the projects for further planning, zoning and decision-making. The procurement is linked to the Railway Company's task of organizing a depot complex serving the growing train fleet of the HSL area. The duration of individual depot projects is typically several years and above ground cost estimates for the depots to be located vary between around 50-265 million euros. EIA procedures play a key role in assessing the environmental effects, risks and acceptability of projects. alternative reviews of depot projects located in the area, assessment of environmental impacts (for example nature, noise, emission and land use impacts and possible Natura assessments), official cooperation with the Licensing and Supervision Agency and municipalities and coordination of EIA procedures with municipal land use planning, zoning and further planning of depots. The rolling stock company does not have available the environmental impact required by the EIA procedure...
