- The object of the procurement is a service regarding the coordination of marine spatial planning in 2024. The goal of the coordination is to promote the completion of Finland's marine spatial plan by the end of 2026. The Ministry of the Environment is responsible for organizing marine spatial planning in Finland, as well as the plans and theon Reporting Changes to the EU Commission. With this procurement, the Ministry of the Environment will take care of the preparation of a high-quality maritime plan for the year 2024 that meets the requirements. Maritime spatial planning is based on the EU's Maritime spatial planning directive (2014/89/eu) and the Land Use and Construction Act(mrl 1999/132 8 A Chapter). In accordance with the Land Use and Construction Act, the Ministry of the Environment's task is the General Management of Maritime Spatial Planning.
