The purpose of the development model is to guide the development of tourism in such a way that it supports the region's sustainable well-being, environmental protection and the vitality of the local community. The model serves as a strategic tool that helps tourist areas and municipalities to ensure the sustainability of tourism. This purchase is part of the Responsible Tourism Area Development Model project implemented with regional development funds from the Finnish Federation of Lapland.
