- The municipality of Puolanga coordinates the Sustainably - for Puolanga project, which is funded by the Oulujärvi Leader rural fund and part-financing from the European Union. The project to be procured will be implemented during 2026. The municipality of Poland wants to develop its own to its tourism activities, which consists of the Paljakka tourist center in the municipality, for nature tourism and, for example, for events, to the municipal center, such as Pessimistitalo. The goal of the acquisition is to strengthen the attraction of tourism in the Puolanga region and digital accessibility - in the spirit of pessimism. The purpose is to bring a new, realistic and original perspective to tourism, where Puolanka's distinctive "pessimism" acts as a distinguishing attraction factor. The contents should take into account what Puolanka is currently known for: a humorous, self-deprecating and honest approach that stands out from traditional tourism marketing. The municipality of Poland needs to strengthen the improvement of digital capabilities in tourism marketing and produce new tourism material in digital format, which gives the municipality the capabilities to coordinate local tourism and develops digital capabilities in tourism. The produced materials will be directed to the Visit Puolanka social platforms managed by Puolanga municipality, Puolanga municipality's social media channels and future Visit Puolanka's website and will be used in tourist information.
