Description:
The item of acquisition includes diathermy accessories used in surgeries and other procedures. The diathermy accessories used must be compatible with the equipment and instrumentation already in use. About the investigation caused by changing the contract products and the suitability of the products the costs of ensuring could exceed the benefits of a possible exchange, and it would thus not be profitable for the purchasing unit. Direct procurement is also necessary to ensure uninterrupted deliveries and patient safety. The preparation for tendering for the procurement has started, but it has been delayed for reasons beyond the control of the purchasing entity. The future procurement will be carried out as a joint procurement. Direct procurement is carried out for the duration of the bidding process, until the new contracts obtained through the bidding process have gained legal force. Direct procurement procurement decision HYVAEP/7550/2025 Diathermy supplies for the tender period 1.1.2026-31.10.2026. The previously tendered contracts will be continued as direct procurement from the following suppliers: Berner Oy (0107011-5), Mediq Suomi Oy (2285192-2), Olympus Finland Oy (0886241-4), Medtronic Finland Oy (1514187-7) and FINE Medical Finland (2537718-9). The welfare area has requested an extension of the contracts from the above-mentioned suppliers and has received offers that have been accepted. The possibility of extending the contract through direct procurement for the period 1 January 2026 to 31 October 2026 has been discussed with all current contract partners.
