Description:
The object of the acquisition is the maintenance and repair of Truebeam radiotherapy equipment used by the Central Finland welfare region ("wellness region") and supplied by Varian Medical Systems Finland Oy ("company"). Procurement is done as direct procurement. According to the company's announcement, the maintenance and repair of the equipment in question can performed only by an operator authorized by the company, and it has not authorized other commercial service providers to service the equipment. On 12 November 2025, the company submitted an offer to the welfare area for the property to be acquired, after which the offer has been negotiated with the company's representatives. The contract period begins on January 1, 2026 and ends on 31 December 2026. Based on the offer submitted by Varian Medical Systems Finland Oy, Hyvinvointialue acquires a fixed-price user right and update agreement related to maintenance, the price of which for the contract period is 39,870 euros. In addition, maintenance and repair work is procured from the company as agreed in accordance with hourly pricing, the cost of which for the contract period is approximately 30,000 euros. The anticipated total value of the acquisition during the contract period, excluding VAT, of 69,870 euros, exceeds the national threshold value. The procurement exceeds the national limit referred to in § 25 of the Act on Public Procurement (1397/2016) threshold value.
