Description:
The object of the acquisition is the AVANCE NEO-X 500 MHz NMR console and the related hardware, software, equipment and installation, supplied by Bruker Nordic AB. Bruker's Prodigy cold probe in use at the Department of Chemistry requires full electronic, software and control plane compatibility with Bruker AVANCE series electronics. The Prodigy probe works exclusively with Bruker consoles. The AVANCE NEO‑X console includes Bruker's unified control and RF architecture, TRX1200 transceiver units, HPPR preamplifiers and gradient and shim electronics that meet the technical requirements of the Prodigy probe. For this reason, there is only one possible supplier for the acquisition, Bruker is the only manufacturer of AVANCE NEO‑X consoles and owns their distribution and intellectual property rights. Bruker's Avance Neo-X console to be acquired will also be integrated with the other NMR equipment, software and thus the research and to teaching seamlessly. Changing the supplier would require renewing the entire NMR system, which would cause the university's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and especially the Department of Chemistry, overwhelming costs and long-term outage, which together would unreasonably complicate the implementation of teaching and research activities.
