Description:
We collected soil and root samples of the plant species Plantago lanceolata across various meadows, during the summer 2021 and 2022. Our main goal is to characterized, through eDNA metabarcoding, the microbial communities (i.e., bacteria targeting the 16S gene region and fungi targeting the ITS2f gene region). The raw samples are now stored at the University of Helsinki and required to be processed and sequenced. In total, there is 340 soil and 340 root samples.
