- The HUS group is requesting offers for dyes used for gram staining. The procurement is divided into parts, as follows: Part area 1: Dyes / dye assemblies used in gram staining. Dyes will be used for positive blood culture samples and directly for gram staining of primary samples from clinical samples and directly for gram staining of bacterial colonies. The Gram stain method is used in the Clinical Microbiology units of the HUS Diagnostic Center: Bacteriology Unit (Helsinki, Meilahti), South Karelia Central Hospital Clinical Microbiology Laboratory (Lappeenranta) and Kymenlaakso Central Hospital Clinical Microbiology Laboratory (Kotka). The dyes must be suitable as a whole for the so-called traditional gram staining for producing in such a way that the different staining characteristics of the bacteria come to the fore. Section 2: Dyes used in the Aerospray TB Slide Stainer (Elitech) dyeing machine, intended for auramine staining of acid-resistant rods. Dyes are used In the Bacteriology Unit of the HUS Diagnostic Center (Helsinki, Meilahti). The offer can be submitted for one or more parts. Partial bids within sub-areas are not allowed. Optionally, an offer is requested for the dyeing solution acridine orange and sub-area 1 for acetone-alcohol suitable for gram staining. Offering an option product is not mandatory.
