- The purpose of the procurement is to acquire elastomeric infusion pumps for the production of antibiotic pumps and cytotoxic pumps manufactured in hospital pharmacies. The pumps in question are used in the treatment of patients in the Satakunta welfare area for continuous intravenous dosing in treatment units or at the patient's home. Elastomeric pumps should be easily portable, which offers the patient the opportunity to move from the hospital to home despite the need for infusion therapy. There are pumps can be filled in a hospital pharmacy semi-automatically with a pump (e.g. Baxan repeater pump). The antibiotic pump is a disposable infusion pump that administers antibiotics as a continuous infusion for 24 hours. A pump containing cytotoxic agents is disposable infusion pump that administers the cytotoxic agent as a continuous infusion for 1-2 days. The materials and sterility of the pump must be such that it is suitable for intravenous administration of medicines. The medicinal solution is inside the pump in a container from which the drug flows evenly at a constant rate. The tank empties within a predetermined time. An infusion tube equipped with a flow regulator is attached to the patient's vascular catheter. The pump's elastomeric container pushes the medicine out in a steady fashion rate in a closed system through a flow restrictor that controls the infusion rate.
