This announcement is not a procurement announcement or a request for tender, and the publication of the announcement does not start a tender. With this announcement, DigiFinland Oy announces the upcoming acquisition, the target of which is the interconnection of the Paeivystysapu 116117 telephone service. DigiFinland Oy carries out the procurement of the purchaseauthorized by nkaa members (19 welfare regions, the HUS corporation and the city of Helsinki). The competition is carried out as an open procedure and one supplier and one alternate supplier are selected based on the competition. The contractual period of the framework arrangement is four years.
Emergency help 116117 is an urgent hotelephone service focused on Ido's advice and guidance. The service has been operating since autumn 2017. The service is used in almost all welfare areas and covers 97% of Finnish residents. The resident can call the toll-free number before applying to the emergency clinic or when advice is neededor treatment instructions for an urgent health problem. DigiFinland Oy owns the number 116117 and is responsible for the national development of the service. Welfare areas, the city of Helsinki and the HUS corporation are responsible for providing the service to the residents of their area.
Calls made to the 116117 emergency helpline ohare mainly automatically assigned to the number beginning with 0800 assigned to each welfare area. Technically, this happens with the controls made by the network operator of the caller (A-subscriber), so that the calls end up in the network of the operator responsible for the connection.
