- The acquisition is subject to a commercial and technical feasibility study for Finland's first micro-reactor for research, demonstration and education, which has been prepared by the LUT University and Ultra Safe Nuclear Corporation (USNC), a LUT University and US technology supplier. The reactor would be gas -cooled and is well suited to the co -production of electricity and heat, but also for the production of industrial steam or hydrogen. Technology also enables high -temperature energy storage, which is also included in the study. The purpose of the feasibility study is to find out the technical economic rationality of the planned small core power pilot. The contract period aims to start on 1.1.2024.
