Diakonia University of Applied Sciences (Diak) is a national university of applied sciences with campuses in Helsinki, Pieksaemaeki, Pori, Oulu and Turku. There are approximately 3,000 students at Diak. The number of personnel is approximately 260. Diak is a limited company-type, private educational institution owned by a number of ecclesiastical educational organizations and diaconate institutes (including the Deaconship Institute of Helsinki, the Deaconship Institute of Oulu, Kirkkoplavelut and Seurakuntaopisto). The main industry is University of Applied Sciences. Another industry is education and trainingtraining services. Diakoni Vocational College trains experts in the fields of social work, health, church and interpretation. Diak's turnover in 2021 was around €24.6 million and the result for the financial year was €2.3 million. The turnover of R&D projects in 2021 was 2.6 million euros.
Diak is planning to acquire the economyadministration information systems. Diak will not acquire the systems as its own, but will acquire the services from the service provider against a recurring payment as a Saas service. The financial systems subject to possible acquisition include the following sections: accounting, sales ledger, purchase ledger, fixed asset accounting, investment accounting, electronic archive, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, receipt and scanning service of online invoices, recycling and approval of purchase invoices, payment traffic, online invoice operator and sending of online invoices.
