Offshore wind power projects are billion-dollar investments, and in order to promote offshore wind power located in the economic zone, sufficient collateral arrangements should be considered to enable the financing of the projects. Finland's Real Estate System Does Not Extend to the Economic Zone, Which is Why the Economic Zone Koskevat Rights Can't Be Registered in the Land Survey Office's Law Call and Attachment Register, where Rights Pertaining to Wind Power Projects Built on Land as well as in Territorial Waters Can Be Registered. This Brings Challenges to the Financing Arrangements of Projects Located in the Economic Zone. Ymortgage could be used to secure financing collateral, but this does not give the financier the same protection as the mortgage made possible by the real estate system.
