Description:
The North Ostrobothnia Hospital District Municipal Corporation (PPSHP) has tendered the implementation of the 2nd phase of the Hospital of the Future OYS 2030 during the year 2020. The board of PPSHP has made a procurement decision on 21 September 2020, with which it has chosen the alliance contract for the 2nd phase NCC Suomi Oy is the main contractor. The procurement contract was signed on January 28, 2021. It includes the entirety of the F and C buildings of the OYS 2030 renovation program, with an area of approximately 80,000-100,000 brm², as well as the implementation of the associated underground parking. The contract period continues until the end of 2030. The contract has been transferred from PPSHP to the welfare region of North Ostrobothnia as of January 1, 2023 pursuant to Section 20 of the Implementation Act (616/2021). EUR (with options). The current realization is approximately EUR 396 million (including options). Building F has been completed and handed over to the customer on October 3, 2025. The transition to the implementation phase of building C has been decided (PPHVA 9.9.2025 § 132), and the associated demolition work is underway as part of the original contract. Pohde plans to acquire from NCC Suomi Oy an extension to be built as additional work to the C-building, which includes a logistics and support service center, protective structures for the particle accelerator, underground access and VSS facilities and demolition of old hospital buildings required for additional construction. The value of the additional acquisition is approximately EUR 154 million. The total value of the acquisition after the additional acquisition is approximately EUR 550 million.
