Description:
To meet the needs of Tyks hospital services in the welfare region of Varsinais-Finland, GE PET-TT equipment maintenance service GE is procured as a direct purchase exceeding the EU threshold of Section 26 of the Act on Public Procurement and Right-of-Use Agreements (1397/2016, "Procurement Act") From Healthcare Finland Oy. A maintenance contract can only be taken from the equipment supplier GE Healthcare Finland Oy. GE Healthcare Oy's maintenance service guarantees statutory (Medical Device Act 719/2021) periodic maintenance based on device requirements, which are necessary to maintain the functionality of the device. The device in question is necessary for the operation of the department. A person approved or trained by the device manufacturer performs the device maintenance measures specified by the manufacturer in accordance with the contract, and defect repairs, including periodic maintenance and the necessary parts. Direct procurement is based on section 40 subsection 2, point 2 of the Procurement Act, for technical reasons only a certain supplier can carry out the procurement; an additional condition is that reasonable alternatives or there are no substitute solutions and the lack of competition is due to the artificial narrowing of procurement conditions.
