• Description:
• HaminaKotka Satama Oy acquires the medium voltage and frequency converter equipment (20 kV medium voltage switchgear, 6 kV switchgear, transformers and frequency converters) for the onshore electrical system (OPS) to be built at the Mussalo container port. Equipment procurement is carried out at the EU threshold as an overriding procurement with a competitive negotiation procedure. The content of the procurement, which is not negotiated, includes hardware design, hardware manufacturing, measurements and tests according to standards, and the supplier of hardware transport from factory to destination. In addition, the supplier must have the opportunity to organize a maintenance and spare parts service according to the customer's needs. The project is implemented as part of the EU FIT for 55 legislative package, which aims to reduce the EU's greenhouse emissions. Of ships the use of auxiliary machines is restricted in ports when ships are tied to the pier. In HaminaKotka Port, this applies to the Konttisatama located in the part of the Mussalo port. The project has been granted EU support CEF2 transport (alternative fuels infrastructure) from AFIF 2024-2025 funding.
