Description:
The service covers the emptying of HSY's hazardous waste fixed collection points and the transportation of waste to the hazardous waste warehouse of HSY's Kiviko waste service center (Kivikonlaita 5, Helsinki). The collection points are HSY's Sortti stations and mainly gas stations and recycling centers connected Sortti containers and cabinets. The waste in the collection points comes from the residents of the capital region.
The scope of the service currently includes 27 collection points that are emptied regularly. Current points on the map in appendix 1. Most of the collection points are Sortti containers or cabinets. In addition, the service includes four hazardous waste collection points at HSY's Sortti station. The number of collection points may vary during the service, e.g. if Sortti containers go out of use or are added or if HSY opens a new Sortti station. Collection points addresses and emptying rhythms are described in appendix 2. Emptying rhythms can vary according to the seasons, e.g. in winter the rhythms can be less frequent and in summer more frequent.
