• Procurement Services of the city of Turku is requesting bids for historic lighting on behalf of the Urban Construction and Facilities service package. The city of Turku has many historic, protected parks in the city center area, which are part of Turku national urban park. Old-fashioned lampposts play an important role in parks and historic urban environments. The lampposts are cast iron and have a copper lantern. In parks there is a decorative hexagonal lantern pattern, in street areas quadrangular. Both lamps come with their own cast iron column model. Poles and lanterns must be made from similar materials used in the 19th century and largely with the same manufacturing techniques, so that they look the same as its role model. The supplier must prepare the necessary drawings of the existing lanterns and poles, produce casting molds and other tools necessary for production. The old pole or its replica with lanterns will be loaned to the supplier as a model for the prototype for manufacturing. The quantities to be purchased are as follows: Street model: 27 pcs Park model: 41 pcs Option: Park model, maximum 15 pieces City Hall block The selected supplier first manufactures a prototype of lamp posts with lanterns (development phase contract), which are accepted by the customer. After this, if the prototypes are accepted, the actual contract for the implementation phase is concluded.
