Description:
The target of the planned acquisition is the dishes for the patient and staff meals needed during the evacuation of Meilahti's production kitchen, which are currently prepared in the production kitchen itself. The goal of the procurement is to acquire high-quality, nutritionally suitable whole kaffordable ready-made meals.
Meilahti's production kitchen prepares meals for patients, staff and order-serving customers in the Meilahti campus area. All meals of the day are prepared for around 1,100 patients every day of the year, and on weekdays around 3,700 members of the stafffor lunch meals. There are about 400 staff meals on weekends. The staff eats in the lunch restaurants connected to the seven service kitchens. Meilahti's production kitchen will have to be demolished and a new kitchen will be built in place of the old one. The kitchen has to be avoided for about five bedsksi. You can't stay to prepare food in the shelters. Patient food is distributed cold to patient-specific trays in emergency rooms. Food is heated in cook and chill carts in patient wards. The trolley heats the food, but does not cook it. For this reason, the dishes chosen for the patients must be ripethat. Food served in lunch restaurants is cooked or heated in service kitchens connected to lunch restaurants with multi-function ovens.
