- The contract is a total price total contract (KU). VÀylÀvirasto and Outokumpu Stainless Oy are jointly implementing the project to improve the geometry of Tornio's sea channel and port. The contract includes the improvement of the geometry of Tornio's 9-meter sea channel, the curves of the channel and kapeita kohtia leventÀmÀllÀ sekÀ satama-altaan laajentamisen. The total length of the canal is 25 km, of which 23.8 km is under the control of the Norwegian Railway Agency and 1.2 km in the port area managed by Outokumpu Stainless Oy. Urakkaan sisÀltyy ruoppaus- ja lÀjitystöitÀ sekÀ modification works of safety devices related to lane marking. The dredging mass is deposited in the dumping basin near the port.
