THIS IS NOT A PROCUREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT OR A REQUEST FOR OFFER, BUT A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR A MARKET SURVEY/TECHNICAL DIALOGUE.
Extraction instruments are used to remove pacemaker leads from the patient's heart. Extraction tools are particularly critical products and the product is selected based on the clinical need of the procedure andaccording to the patient's cardiac anatomy. In pacemaker lead removal procedures, the patient's needs always determine which product is used. Products from many different manufacturers may have to be used in the same operation.
The procurement unit needs e.g. for extraction tools as described below:
- Tblunt extraction tool, suitable for removing wires from the right side (when approaching from the right side, a 90 degree angle from the jugular vein to the superior vena cava)
- Extraction tool, the teeth at the ends of which are inside the instrument
- A locking spindle with a locking mechanism that extends all the way (noonly from the tip of the lock spindle)
- A lock spindle that can be disassembled, i.e. it can be opened and removed from the cord if the procedure requires it
The purpose of this request for information is to map the suppliers on the market who supply extraction tools as described above. The procurement unit requests in the fieldoperating companies to register and submit information about the extraction tools they have selected.
Registration must be done by 12:00 on October 28, 2022, by email to the address narbiletus.tiimi@hus.fi. The message should be titled informatively, e.g. "Request for information extraction tools".
