BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF PROCUREMENT
Paakaupunkiseudun Junakalusto Oy (hereinafter also "Junakalustoyhtioe") tenders for Sm5 train units (81 units) the installation of advertising display positions.
All Sm5 train units on provided by Stadler Bussnang AG between 2009 and 2017. The aim and purpose of Junakalusto Oy is to ensure that the value and quality of Sm5 train units and their components are maintained, and to secure the controlled development of Sm5 train units and their components throughout their life cycle. In addition, Train Equipment Oy's goal is to reduce the maintenance, operation and life cycle costs of Sm5 train units.
The end result of the assignment is that Advertising screens can be installed and connect directly to the realized installation locations. The purchase includes the installation of advertising screens as an additional purchase option.
The schedule for the installation of advertising display locations will be specified based on the negotiations for the final request for tender, but the minimum requirement is that the advertising display locations the installations must be carried out in such a way that one train unit is out of service for a maximum of two (2) working days.
