Description:
The city of Turku is organizing a general one-stage international architecture competition for the design of the Museum of History and the Future in the Linnanniemi area, open to everyone. The competition is organized in cooperation with the Finnish Association of Architects. with SAFA.
The purpose of the competition is to find Turku Castlean architecturally high-level ensemble for the implementation of the Museum of History and the Future to be built on the cape. In the new museum, aesthetic, functional and technical-economic solutions as well as the goals of sustainable development have been balanced, and the history of the location andtaking into account the environment.
The proposal presented by the winner of the competition will be implemented as an alliance project, where the winner of the competition is one of the parties of the alliance. The museum's target schedule is the beginning of the construction phase in 2027, the completion of the building in 2029 and the opening of the museum to the public in2023.
Concerning the further orders of the competition and the related contracts, the sanctions regulations of the EU in force at any given time are observed.
