• MARKET DIALOGUE The subject of the market dialogue is the improvement of the geometry of Inkoo's sea channel and port, which is being prepared, for the needs of the Norwegian Shipping Agency and Inkoo Shipping Oy Ab. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES In the project, a 13-meter tunnel leading to the port of Inko will be implemented improving the sea channel by widening the channel area at the end of the port. There is a floating liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in the port, and the widening of the fairway enables ships to arrive and leave the port more safely. The widening of the lane includes approximately 200,000 cubic meters of dredging, which will be deposited in the sea depositing area off Inkoo. A small part of the land to be dredged is unsuitable for sea disposal, which will be dredged using separate technology and deposited in a pool to be built in the harbor area for further processing. Widening the fairway area enables ships to arrive and leave the port more safely. The project is carried out in cooperation with the dredging project in front of the new wharf planned by Inkoo Shipping Oy Ab. A new pier in the project from the front and the new fairway area will be deepened to match the design depth of 13 m. The works include approximately 100,000 cubic meters of dredging and possibly underwater mining. Part of the land to be dredged is unsuitable for sea mining, which is dredged using separate technology and will be sent to a pool to be built in the port area for further processing.
