• MARKET DIALOGUE
  The subject of the market dialogue is the improvement of the geometry of Tornio's sea channel and port, which is being prepared, to meet the needs of the Norwegian Railways Agency and Outokumpu Stainless Oy (Roeytta port).
  BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES
  The project involves the implementation of a 9.0-meter sea channel leading to Roeytta harbor in Tornio improvement based on the critical points of the fairway reported by users, and expansion of the harbor basin. The goal of the project is to improve the safe trafficability of both the fairway and the port. The total length of the canal is 25 km, of which 23.8 km is owned by the Norwegian Railway Agency and 1.2 km by Outokumpu Stainless Oy managed area.
  The work includes the dredging of the fairway and the harbor basin and the placement of dredging masses, the existing floating safety devices transfers and reinstallations. The dredging mass will be placed in a new one located next to the previously used harbor dumping basin into the casting basin.
