• MARKET DIALOGUE The Finnish Railways Agency organizes the market dialogue of the authorization project "Vt 4 Vestonmäki kohta, Joutsa ja Toivakka". The market dialogue will be held on Monday 23 March 2026 at 12:30-13:30 as a remote event. BACKGROUND The project is implemented as one main contract and the contract will improve highway 4 over a distance of approximately 4.4 kilometers. The construction contract is planned to be implemented as a Design and Implement (ST) contract, where bidding is also possible for contractors who have no previous experience in construction planning of contract forms containing In the project, a central guardrail will be implemented for the current Vestonmäki bypass section on highway 4, the geometry of the highway will be improved, a private road interchange will be built to replace the current Soimaharjuntie interchange, and the current Riihijärvi overpass lane section will be combined with the Vestonmäki overpass section to be improved in the project. In addition, the project will reorganize private roads when the direct accesses leave the highway, build a game fence and noise protections. The total cost estimate of the project is €18.0 million.
