- The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) monitors nuclear and nuclear waste facilities in Finland. STUK's rock technical control is focused on the core system of Posiva's used fuel and the control of existing (TVO and Fortum) power plant waste plants and the monitoring of possible extensions. STUK is also preparing for the monitoring and construction of new nuclear power plants, including the bedrock surveys of plant sites. To support and develop its own control work, STUK needs an external expert in rock building technology and rock building geology.
