Kuopio Opiskelija-asunnot Oy wants to implement VARKE's interest subsidized student housing with the minimum requirements presented below.
The location in question increases students' opportunities for car-free movement and at the same time reduces car parking by educational institutions and other service providers the need. The cuts to student housing allowances increase the need for affordable housing production in Kuopio.
Minimum requirements
- The plot must be located in Kuopio and in the postal code area 70200
- The plot can be your own or a rented plot, but not acquired from the municipality
- The building type must be a residential apartment building suitable for student housing
- The size of the project must be 6,000-8,000 floor square meters
- The location of the plot must be in a regionally central location along reasonable traffic connections:
• no more than 2 km from the center of Kuopio (market), train station and from the Savilahti campus of the University of Eastern Finland
• at a maximum walking distance of 150 meters from a public transport stop at the time of commissioning of the residential building implemented in the project
- The price level of the plot and object must be suitable for subsidized rental production (VARKE price level).
- The status program of the project and the average surface area of the apartments must be adaptable to Kuopio Opiskelija-asunnot Oy
- The project has an A- energy class passive house apartment building requirement
- The prerequisite for starting the project is the approval of the plans and costs in VARKE
