Description:
The object of the procurement is the medical rehabilitation physiotherapy services that are the responsibility of the Kymenlaakso welfare area. Kymenlaakso's welfare area is responsible for planning medical rehabilitation, rehabilitation and treatment as needed.
Medical rehabilitation refers to those terforms of health care that aim to improve and maintain the rehabilitator's physical, psychological and social functioning.
Physiotherapy refers to various rehabilitation measures, the aim of which is to help a person achieve the best possible function in relation to their situationn's recovery and painlessness through physiotherapeutic means. Physiotherapy assesses the client's health, mobility, functional capacity and functional limitations in his/her working environment. The acquired physiotherapy services are goal-oriented and participative rehabilitation, the goal of which isis to increase and maintain functional capacity and physical therapy emphasizes active therapeutic exercise. The services offered include research, guidance, assessment, therapy, a written exercise program (for the client) and written therapy feedback (for the subscriber).
Physiotherapymethods include guidance and counseling promoting health, work and functional capacity, therapeutic exercise, manual and physical therapy.
